We’re proud to share a great review from Bergtórur, the skipper on Icelandic vessel Þerney, who has been using our Storm 2 trawl doors over the past months. These are his words:
"We received the Storm 2 trawl doors two months ago and have been very pleased with their performance so far. The doors appear to be strongly built and durable, and they spread the trawls very well. We have been fishing deeper than 400 fathoms targeting silver smelt, using both single and twin trawl configurations, and the doors have proven to be very stable in towing performance. We have also used them across a wide range of fishing depths, from 30 fathoms down to over 200 fathoms, where they have consistently delivered very good results. We have also worked them deeper than 400 fathoms, and they continue to perform very well under those conditions. So far, we have used the Storm 2 doors while fishing for redfish, haddock, cod, saithe, and silver smelt, and we are very satisfied with their overall performance, stability, and versatility."

🚢 Busy Month at Vónin! 🦐 Over the past month, we’ve delivered 8 Vónin Kodiak 3310 shrimp trawls. 3 to Kaassassuk✔️ 2 to Polar Nattoralik✔️ and 3 to Avataq✔️ All of which are fishing in the Barents Sea also using Vónin Storm trawl doors. Other vessels heading to the Barents Sea with shrimp trawls from Vónin include Emerald✔️ Enniberg✔️ and Hvítanes✔️ We appreciate the continued trust from our customers and are proud to equip these vessels with high‑performance trawl gear. 💙⚓

We are proud to have Avataq visiting us 🤝⚓
🚢💨 Avataq has caught 2,300 tons of Greenland halibut in just two months!
Coming in from West Greenland and landing 1,150 tons in Tórshavn.
For halibut fishing, the vessel uses Bacalao trawls and Storm trawldoors from Vónin 🎣
Now they’re switching over to shrimp — using three 3320 msk Vónin Kodiak shrimp trawls and 16 m² Storm doors 🦐❄️
Avataq is now heading for the Barents Sea, with Tordar Dimon as skipper.
⚓ Ready, steady, and set for the next voyage!
