Purse seine nets from Vónin are said to provide the means for faster and more efficient fishing.
Our workers understand the fine art of combining traditional skilled craftsmanship with the latest technology to produce specially designed purse seine nets to suit the needs of each and every vessel.
The latest addition to Vónin’s production facilities is a new 1,600 square metre hall. The hall is for the production, repair and storage of purse seine nets and is situated on the quayside in Fuglafjørður, making it possible to winch seines from vessels directly into the new facility.
This allows us to work more efficiently, and with eight powerful winches we can manufacture or repair four purse seines simultaneously. When finished, the seine can be safely stored on the ground floor of the pelagic building.
