We boost our R&D even further

In Vónin's continuous and strategic plan in developing our gear we are happy to announce that from the 1st of November Kristian Zachariassen will start as "Head of Research & Development"

Kristian is 41 years old and has a degree as a captain. For the last 14 years he has been working at the Faroe Marine Research Institute were he has been developing and testing fishing gear. Kristian has been involved in several international projects in Canada, Greenland, Norway and the EU. Through the years he has also through worked closely together with Vónin on several projects, e.g. the Flexi Grid that won a WWF smart gear award in 2006, and which today is a natural part on board both pelagic and bottom trawlers.

Kristian started as a deckhand onboard longliners and sailed as a mate and skipper on Faroese trawlers for 9 years until he joined the Faroe Marine Research Institute.

We are very happy to get Kristian onboard and do look forward to work with him.
