This year the Faroese single-rig freezer trawler Vesturvón has fished their quota in the Barents Sea in record time using Vónin Bacalao 720 and Vónin Turbot 454. Vesturvón usually spends 11 months at sea to catch all their quota, but this year they only needed three trips from January to June to finish their quota. Each trip gave them 800 tonnes of fillets of Cod, Haddock, Saith and flat fish. The skipper Eyðun á Bergi says: "The trawls have worked very well, the Vónin Bacalao 720 is the trawl that we prefer when we fish deep, and the Vónin Turbot is the trawl that we prefer on the more shallow waters".
