A big order of crab pots for Vónin Canada
The optimism among the Snow Crab fishermen in Newfoundland is high. The value of landed Snow Crab is 61% higher than last year, and a report from Fisheries and Oceans Canada states that the value of the Snow Crab landings in Newfoundland in 2011 is $250 million. This is the highest since 2004.

The price for the Snow Crab was $2,15 per pound this year and this is also the highest since 2004.

This optimism has resulted in some big orders of crab pots for Vónin Canada. The latest order was shipped out last Friday, were 1250 crab pots were loaded on a trailer and delivered to the customer. The same customer has ordered 2500 more pots to be delivered later this year.

Vónin Canada has great experience in manufacturing crab and whelk pots, and has for years delivered thousands of high quality crab and whelk pots to the Canadian inshore fleet, and has also exported pots to other nations.
