Vónin chosen Faroese company of the year 2011 | On the annual industry day, which has been held in the Nordic House in Tórshavn, Vónin was chosen to be the Faroese company of the year 2011. This is not the first time Vónin has received this honour, because in 2002 Vónin was also chosen to be the coampany of the year.
Hjalmar Petersen managing director and Olaf Olsen co-founder and member of the board were there to receive the award.
Apart from looking at the financial results over the last couple of years, the judging panel also looks if the companies have shown aspiration and courage on different areas, and if this has resulted in development and growth of the company. This includes production, export, education or product- and service development.
Vónin was established in 1969 and has become one the world leading suppliers of fishing gear and aquaculture equipment.
In addition to having three branches in the Faroe Islands, Vónin also has five branches in Greenland and one in Canada. Vónin also has a sister company in Norway, called Refa Frøystad Group.
Vónin kosin ársins virki 2011
Á árliga vinnudegnum sum hevur verið hildin í Norðurlandahúsinum var Vónin kosin til at vera ársins virkið 2011. Tað er ikki fyrstu fer Vónin fær hendan heiður, tí í 2002 varð Vónin eisini kosin at vera ársins virkið.
Hjalmar Petersen stjóri og Olaf Olsen ein av stovnarunum og nevndarlimur móttóku heiðurin.
Umframt at leggja dent á fíggjarlig úrslit seinastu árini, hyggur dómsnevndin eisini eftir, um fyritøkur hava víst framfýsni og áræði á ymiskum økjum, og um hetta hevur viðført menning og vøkstur av fyritøkuni. Hetta kann t.d. vera viðvíkjandi framleiðslu, útflutningi, útbúgving ella vøru- og tænastumenning.
Vónin varð stovnað í 1969 og er í dag ein av heimsins leiðandi veitarum av fiskireiðskapi og aliútgerð.
Umframt at hava tríggjar deildir í Føroyum, hevur Vónin fimm deildir í Grønlandi og eina deild í Canada. Vónin hevur eisini eitt systurfelag í Noregi, sum kallast Refa Frøystad Group.
Vónin valgt til årets færøske virksomhed 2011
På den årlige industridag, som har været afholdt i Nordens Hus i Tórshavn, var Vónin valgt til årets virksomhed 2011. Dette er ikke første gang Vónin har modtaget denne ære, for i 2002 blev Vónin også valgt til at være årets virksomhed.
Hjalmar Petesen direktør og Olaf Olsen medgrundlægger og bestyrelsesmedlem var der for at modtage denne pris.
Bortset fra at se på de økonomiske resultater i løbet af de sidste par år, ser dommerpanelet også på om virksomhederne har vist ambitioner og mod indenfor forskellige områder, og om dette har resulteret i udvikling og vækst i virksomheden. Dette kan omfatte produktion, eksport, uddannelse eller produkt-og serviceudvikling.
Vónin blev etableret i 1969 og er i dag et af verdens førende leverandører af fiskeredskaber og fiskeopdræts udstyr.
Ud over at have tre afdelinger på Færøerne, har Vónin også fem afdelinger i Grønland og én i Canada. Vónin har også et søsterselskab i Norge, som kaldes Refa Frøystad Group.
